1sentence: Kev/Lynn

He feels her coming closer and closer in the dark and he smirks, reaching out to find her hips and pull her towards him.
2. Cool
Lynn is always cool and composed and Kev is the emotional one in the relationship he hopes will teach him how to take some things more nonchalantly.
3. Young
Kev is ageless but Lynn assumes he has to be underage although she wonders how someone that young can be so insightful and intelligent; so she doesn’t ask about his age knowing that he will only joke about it.
4. Last
It’s not wrong to say that Lynn is the last one to figure out that she might like Kev more than she ever thought possible.
5. Wrong
“I can’t date him,” Lynn reiterates when in bed with Wes, “I just can’t; not as long as I’m not a hundred percent sure he is over eighteen.”
6. Gentle
Kev is surprisingly gentle but also very intense – Lynn is astonished about how his lovemaking skills sum up his personality perfectly.
7. One
Lynn can’t say Kev is the one for her; she doesn’t believe such a thing exists – not until she meets Hank McDonald.
8. Thousand
Lynn knows she’s earning a thousand dollars extra for this job and would have done it no matter what but it helps that Kev is the one who suggested hiring her.
9. King
“That’s bullshit,” Lynn says, exasperated, “why can the king only move one square at a time?” and Kev asks himself what he was thinking when he decided to teach Lynn chess.
10. Learn
Kev wants to learn something new everyday; Lynn wonders when he will learn that some things can only be learned by experiencing them – like love.
11. Blur
Lynn is trembling; can barely see what’s going on around her and she curses Kev for knowing how this would end and doing it anyway.
12. Wait
And after some time, Lynn can’t help but realize that she is sick of waiting for Kev to decide what he wants to do with his life and moving on with Hank fells like the right thing.
13. Change
Their relationship has evolved – and at the same time devolved – since Kev has moved away and sometimes Lynn wonders if this non-existent relationship turned long-distance relationship can still work; if she is up to it.
14. Command
Kev, Lynn, and Wes often work as a team and when they do, no one is really sure who should be in control but it usually works out when they have the same goals and Kev and Lynn keep Wes in check.
15. Hold
“Hold me,” Lynn quietly says after their first time and Kev silently obliges.
16. Need
The relationship works so well because they don’t need to be constantly together and make decisions for themselves without ever having to consider how the other one will feel about it – because if they can’t deal, then they just know that they don’t belong together any longer.

“Take off that dress, Lynn, it’s scaring me!”
18. Attention
It’s so easy to overlook quiet, studious Kev who is partnered with Wes of all people but Lynn slowly but surely realizes how much attention the young man deserves.
19. Soul
“I’m not sure if I believe in the existence of a soul,” Lynn admits and Kev stares at her with eyes wide open before starting to explain to her why there has to be a soul on a philosophical level.
20. Picture
Kev looks at the pictures that Face took of him when he was drugged and Lynn, the pictures that are partially the reason for his girlfriend breaking up with him and he smiles at how good they actually look together.
21. Fool
“It is kind of foolish of you do to fall in love with someone right now,” Bishop tells Kev and he nods thinking that Bishop is the fool for having sacrificed his relationships for such a thing as business.
22. Mad
“I’m crazy,” Kev tells Lynn in all seriousness and she agrees, “Crazy for me.”
23. Child
“He’s nothing but a child eager to learn,” Bishop tells Lynn and she shakes her head, wondering which Kev Bishop knows and why she has never been introduced to him.
24. Now
“We don’t have much time”, Kev whispers into her ear, pulling her close, “we only have this moment.”
25. Shadow
Kev watches Lynn and Hank laughing together and although it isn’t easy for him to admit it, he secretly knows that she could never be that happy with him.
26. Goodbye
Lynn went cold when she walked into Wes and Kev’s room to realize that Kev was gone and what hurt wasn’t that – she knew he was going to leave – what really upset her was that he hadn’t even said a word, not to her, not to anyone.
27. Hide
Despite the pleasant weather, Lynn puts on a long-sleeved shirt to hide the gashes on her arms so Kev who is coming to visit won’t notice.
28. Fortune
“I don’t get it,” Lynn tells Kev in a serious voice, “why would you give up on everything to take a job just because you’re getting so much money?” and Kev lets her think that he’s in for the money instead of having her discover that he took the job because of his mentor, a business man who to tell the truth isn’t all that honest.
29. Safe
Lynn feels safe enough with or without Kev; she knows she can protect herself and doesn’t need a boyfriend to keep her safe.
30. Ghost
When the ghosts of the past come stumbling back into Kev’s life, he unknowingly distances himself from Lynn and for some reason he is grateful when McDonald shows up in Lynn’s life to take his place.
31. Book
When asked what he wants for his birthday, Kev usually says “a book” but when Lynn finally gets around to asking, the obvious answer is “you”.
32. Eye
It’s not always easy to see eye to eye with a person and that’s one of Kev and Lynn’s big problems.
33. Never
Kev never expected any of this to happen, never expected Lynn to like him, never expected to fall for her, never expected to fall asleep with her in his arms.
34. Sing
The only way to react when Lynn starts singing is to kiss her so she’ll shut up.
35. Sudden
It’s all so unexpected and comes out of left field when Kev presses his lips against Lynn’s for only a second, then smirking and walking away while she stands there unable to react.
36. Stop
It’s not that she has stopped loving Kev, just that over time it has slowly waned and been replaced by the feelings she has for a man who is actually there for her.
37. Time
When they get to see each other, everything has to be done quickly; no moment can really be savored although they know that’s what they should do.
38. Wash
Kev enjoys watching her wash her face becoming a completely different woman in the process.
39. Torn
Her favorite shirt is ripped and she contemplates throwing it out until Kev offers to fix it for her and she looks at him amazed by the fact that he can sew.
40. History
Lynn knows Kev’s history with women —has been a part of it— and it always amazes her how he charms one woman after the other only to discover that he doesn’t want any of this.
41. Power
Kev’s ambition is to become a powerful man – at least that’s Lynn’s impression – and that makes him a stranger to her.
42. Bother
“Doesn’t it ever bother you that your ex is with McD now?” Wes asks and Kev shakes his head, smiling and gives the cliché answer “as long as she’s happy” and he means it.
43. God
“God’s an asshole,” Lynn announces and Kev shakes his head, telling her that God doesn’t exist and therefore can’t be asshole.
44. Wall
Kev presses Lynn against the wall of Bishop’s office and hopes that his boss won’t come in.
45. Naked
It’s not so much seeing Lynn naked that makes Kev smile but the fact that she isn’t covered in oil smudges for once.
46. Drive
“I’ve got a driver’s license now,” Kev announces grinning, showing it to Lynn who just laughs in utter disbelief that Kev is actually doing something that might indicate how old he is.
47. Harm
Kev would never want anyone he cares about to be harmed, it has happened to often already and to avoid it happening again, he breaks up with Lynn, tells her to find someone else – not because he has stopped loving her but because he wants to ensure that his feelings for her don’t hurt her.
48. Precious
Hank shows Kev the engagement ring he bought for Lynn and Kev just nods and tells him it’s beautiful without mentioning that he doesn’t think Lynn will want to marry him – or anyone for that matter.
49. Hunger
With his new job, Kev doesn’t have much time to eat between meeting and Lynn thinks he’s lost some weight which worries her.
50. Believe
They both have to put a lot of energy into the relationship but the most important thing is that they have to believe each other hoping that it will work.
