The Authority Vol. 2
May. 27th, 2008 11:08 pmI read the entire second volume of The Authority and it was awesome. I wanted to read it because I was interested in the portrayal of Midnighter and Apollo and it is interesting. It is over the top and you don't get much of the characters' relationships but what you see of Midnighter and Apollo or the Engineer and Hawksmoor but it is cool when you actually get to see it. So, now I'm going back to reading the first volume. What I loved was the storyline focussing on a religious group that converted the entire world because that's something I have never even thought about.
On another note (and after a conversation I just had with Glaucia) I discovered that my mother hasn't gone out with Lyana today as I expected her to but has been sleeping the entire time from about 3pm on which is completely insane if you think of it. I think she decided to take lots of meds today because she knew B. wouldn't come home. I have started to think that her problem is that she is afraid she won't be able to sleep and takes meds that will put her to sleep. I have heard that they have tried to take them away from her in Brazil and it didn't work out because she simply went to the drug store and bought herself new ones repeatedly. I'm not looking forward to spending the day with her tomorrow but I feel a certain obligation.
