Prompt: make him tame so he can live in peace with the world (December 2 for 31_days )

Stella West sat in the psychiatrist’s office after her first meeting with the young prodigy hoping to attain more information about the youth who had spent the past few months in the mental institution, mostly because he wanted to, not because he needed to but because he wanted to. He had been told he was ready to leave months ago.

“Do you think he is stable enough to lead a normal life?”

“He is fine. I’ve wanted to let him go for a long time now but he seems afraid.”

“What is he afraid of? Are we talking about agoraphobia?”

“No. He is afraid of what he can do to people he cares about. He is traumatized but I think that there’s no way to treat that. He needs to get out to fully recover. He needs to face his fears.”

“Is he a danger to anyone? To himself?”

“I don’t think so. He won’t attempt to kill himself. He is an intelligent young man, maybe slightly depressed but he is safe. He always was but you will need to convince him of that.”

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll take care of him. I just need you to keep him medicated so he doesn’t become a danger.”

“That makes me happy, Ms West. I hate someone with so much potential go to waste just be careful.”

“I’ll look after him.”
