Gossip Girl 115

- Gossip Girl is back. This is my sister’s TV series o rat least that’s how it started out. I found out about it coincidentally and I knew that she read the books (the only books she reads), so I started downloading the episodes for her and we watched them together. I did it for multiple reasons. For one thing, I am so obsessed with watching things in English that I wanted my sister to do the same and so we watch it together which is immensely fun. But I have started to enjoy it. Some characters are pretty lame, but Blair and Chuck are great, for example.
- I actually thought the season ended with the double episode.
- Moonriver. Is this a play on “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”? I know Blair is obsessed with Hepburn as it is constantly mentioned in the series and by J. But I don’t know the movie.
- I don’t get the sequence. It’s a dream.
- Serena still lives at a Hotel? After what, over six months back in town? And even worse, Chuck and his dad have moved into the hotel room now? Have they ever heard of houses?
- I love Chuck.
- The coats these popular girls are wearing are ugly. I don’t like Jenny. I don’t get why Jenny wants to be popular and why she pretends to have money when she doesn’t.
- Eric looks different.
- Who uses their son as their best man? Doesn’t Chuck’s dad have friends?
- Matthew Settle looks a lot better as Rufus than as Jonathan in Brothers and Sisters, a series I love unconditionally.
- Why is Blair wearing those ugly, ugly clothes? I mean, you should have some taste.
- I HATE popular girls.
- How sick and twisted are those private school kids, exactly?
- Is Nate going to hook up with Jenny like my sister has been saying he would eventually?
- Even Nate has figured out that popular girls aren’t exactly the most reliable friends. Go with the unpopular kids who don’t wear those ugly clothes and actually care about you.
- Why is it you have to be like everyone else? This is the theme of this series, I get it, but for some reason it annoys me. I like the interaction between the characters, not the clothes and the popularity contests.
- They are so obsessed with it; it annoys me so fucking much!!
- I actually like Serena’s hair. It doesn’t look perfect and there is a certain charm to it that isn’t there when she has it all straitened out. And it sticks out between all the same hairstyles the popular kids have.
- WTF is Jenny doing? Did I mention that I am annoyed at her attempt to be popular?
- Chuck is actually being nice? I love how he is unreadable.
- Why do the annoying popular girls think that it is so fun to humiliate others? I really hate it. I know that Blair did it herself, but she didn’t pick on anyone as intensively as these girls are picking on her. I think I’m voicing my annoyance very often but it’s the only thing I can do with the subject coming up over and over again. And because I don’t see the appeal of being popular. I guess I’m not the audience this is aimed at but there are still things about this show that I thoroughly enjoy once they get over the price of popularity.
- Stealing someone else’s clothes is a very good idea. They won’t notice for sure. Isn’t this an overused plot point?
- Does “the bitch is back” mean the whining is over? I hope so.
- She STEALS clothes to get new stuff?
- Eric is awkward sometimes.
- Chuck still has the awesome club? The one this sexy last scene between him and Blair happened.
- Who is sending Serena weird stuff? I don’t get the joke but I know it’s not Chuck who is doing it.
- It was so obvious that there would be trouble with Jenny stealing dresses.
- What is Blair doing? I’m curious about her evil plot.
- Jenny deserves whatever is happening to her. I mean, I am annoyed at her boring “I want to be a popular girl” plot.
- I had forgotten how mad I was at Serena for forcing her mother to split with Rufus.
- “Chuck is eccentric, not diabolical.”
- Take that, Jenny!
- Blair is getting back at Jenny.
- Nate is actually worried about Jenny, I take it.
- She is going to ruin the dress. Bye bye social status.
- I pity Rufus for having a daughter like Jenny. I mean, she has serious issues. What is the problem of having to bring food from home?
- What’s the problem with someone sending Serena weird stuff?
- Don’t pity your sister, Dan, she is to be held accountable for everything she does.
- I mean, Chuck is popular is his own, sick way and he doesn’t let others manipulate him.
- The bad part about it though is that people think Chuck is capable of anything. I mean, not even his father likes him.
- Jenny is gone. I hope we never hear from her again. What is she doing at Nate’s place, anyway? Please don’t have them hooking up. He is what, eighteen and she is fifteen or so?
- Hideous necklace, Serena.
- How sick are those girls? I mean, seriously! There is something wrong with them.
- Oh, a cliffhanger. A lame one. Is evil party Serena coming to town?
- It may not sound like it but the episode was okay. Had there been more character development and less “I have to be popular” this would actually have been very enjoyable. I can’t stand Jenny though.
