Death Cab For Cutie -- Talking Bird
Leaving Arkham was as hard as leaving Dean had been but it was the right thing to do, Kaare told herself as she sat on the floor packing her belongings into cardboard boxes that her father and Wes would help her to heave into her Volkswagen bus.
"What are you doing?" she heard someone ask and when she looked up Jack was standing in the doorframe.
"I'm leaving."
"Why?"
"Because I can't stay."
Jack nodded. "I had figured that part out."

They took a walk outside instead of spending the evening drinking beer with Kaare drinking considerably more than Jack.
"I'm enjoying myself with you," Kaare told him with a smile.
She was and it surprised her everytime she noticed it buit maybe, just maybe she would get used to it.

"I slept with Jack," Kaare confided in Tahiri.
"Oh?" She raised an eyebrow surprised by this revelation. "I guess that means he isn't dating Janna anymore."
"They are still dating?" Kaare bit her lip. "Fuck."
"I'm not sure. Don't worry about it. What I can't wrap my head around is the idea of Jack having sex without an incredibly long time of dating someone beforehand though. DId you drug him? Get him drunk?"
Kaare shook her head.
"Interesting."
"You are not a helpful girlfriend," Kaare sighed.
