Geir Turpin’s life started with the death of Ahmik Bishop.
On papers he existed beforehand but only after Bishop’s death Turpin began to rise in fame and power and with this came the speculations about this man was actually working for Bishop because how could a man like the great Ahmik Bishop just die? Even the logical minds of the men who dealt with Bishop’s and Turpin’s businesses sometimes wondered to themselves but shook their heads at this mad thought that had crossed their minds. Turpin was taking Bishop’s spot but the man had a different focus, a different modus operandi and wasn’t a public figure like Bishop. He did almost everything by phone or email so he wouldn’t have to leave his apartment and it was speculated that Turpin was a very sad, lonely person.
But Turpin was happy. He was alive, something Bishop wasn’t and if he had to make sure he would stay that way, even if that meant never exposing himself to anyone. Bishop had made a mistake and Turpin wasn’t going to make the same mistake. A fortune was worth losing his freedom for … if you had enough money to set up secret identities in which he could be himself.
