I felt completely crazy paying for my lj account the first time I did it, but I justified it by telling myself I'm not paying for any other webspace anymore and as far as internet things you pay for go...it's not that expensive?
When I don't have an internet connection, I write LJ entries in my notebook, so I guess that it's eaten my soul a long, long time ago. The only other thing on the internet I've ever spent money on is donating to NaNo and that's something I'm so passionate about that I couldn't resist.
