Spying on your cute, possibly new neighbor who may or may not have just moved in tbefore determining if you want to go over and introduce yourself is completely legitimate and normal. Nevermind that you've never introduced yourself to any of the old neighbors who were ... old(er) or female or not cute. And discussing him at length with your dad and standing in your backyard looking into his apartment and discussing everything you can see is completely normal. As is talking about the guy while he is in earshot. And trying to find out how long he's been living there and frustratingly enough getting very contradictive answers. Looks like I'll have to do some spying tomorrow evening. My dad says I should get to know him and warn him about the neighbors / ask him if he knows if his landlady's husband is being held prisoner in the basement.
