Today, I let the boyfriend try his Christmas present because we both wanted to make sure it worked. It does. He made me play Mario Kart with him for a while, enjoying my ineptitude at racing quite a bit and then he did something that made me realize just how great it is that he's getting the Nintendo 64: he suggested that if I wanted to, I could write a bit, half an hour or so, and that he would play while I did so.  I love him. And that N64 isn't just a gift for him but for me too :D

And yes, he figured out what he was getting early this month and today he asked to try it. It's been lying around since it got here anyway. And next time he's allowed to play is when he really gets it, on our belated Christmas on January, 2nd or 3rd.

I'm in the process of getting my own old N64 hooked up to play Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I wish I still had the Mario Kart one. Then, I also wish we still had a Wii. Anyway, yes, awesome present.

He's dreamed of having an N64 all his life as I found out recently, so I got on ebay and bought all the components plus Mario Kart because that's the only game he mentioned to me. His words pretty much were, "If I ever had a console, it would have to be one I could play Mario Kart on."

It's what he's doing right now.

The graphics aren't awesome but the game is fun and it works just like with children, let them play and then I can have time for myself sometimes XD
