Faust has two meanings. The first one is "fist" in German. The second is a highly-regarded book by Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Written as a play in two parts, it is written in rhymes for about 5000 rows (and I'm only referring to the first part, the second is much longer).
I don't know if it's possible to translate "Faust" to other languages such as English, I don't think I'd try. "Faust" is one of the books (if not the book) that shows the imense variety of the German language and heck, even I have difficulties reading it.
Why I am reading it? My father told me I should, he dared me to. I had to, at least I felt this way, I think I was already somewhat sleepy and thus my recklessness.
I've started on Thursday (at the same time reading "X-Wing: Isard's Revenge" and afterwards "X-Wing: Starfighters Of Adumar") and by now, I've managed to read the first page. I have no real idea what the stuff is supposed to mean, but it's impressive. I think I'll need to read it a few times more so I understand it or at least get a picture of what they are talking about.
Right now, I'm supposed to be studying for a Social Studies exam on Monday. I started learning at about 11am and I'm already done. Either I'm extremely intelligent or we haven't done much in Social Studies, I think the latter is the case, although I wouldn't mind flattering myself with being extremely intelligent. Let's hope that tomorrow, when I start studying for my Biology exam, I'll feel as sure of myself as I feel now.
